I won’t lie – felt very hurt and cheated when it turned out to be an English album. Pretty nice album though, it’s the kind of smooth jazz that’s packed with interesting swells and dissonance here and there. Basically, no trumpets or sax so I like it.
Did you know
THAT SHE ACTUALLY IS THE GREAT (great, great) GRAND DAUGHTER OF THE TOLSTOY. HOLY SHIT
I’m told she goes more pop-y in later albums. This one is a pretty straightforward jazz effort though. Lots of soaring vocals and breathy whispers, shit’s good brah.
Can’t see the artiste man
Rodrigo y Gabriela
Are they good
Compared to past albums?
One of my favorites, actually. Slightly less repetitive, lots of interesting melodic ideas in this one. Maybe not as technically impressive as a couple of previous efforts, but it’s a cohesive and fun album to listen to.
